Rehabilitation of Two Production Bays
Project Scope:
- Remove concrete around all existing column bases within production area in order to ensure the column foundations are still intact. Repair all damaged foundations then fill around column base using concrete.
- Drill through the concrete slab, at predetermined void locations, and inject the void in the substrate using expansive polyurethane rigid foam in order to provide structural support.
- Remove 20’x20’ compromised concrete slab sections. Pour high-early concrete.
- Remove 200’ of existing trench drains within production area.
- Install 200’ of new custom-fabricated stainless-steel trench drains.
- Slope entire floor to newly installed drains.
- Apply polyurethane surfacer to all curbs and floor within the production area.
- Apply chemical resistant epoxy coating to all curbs and floor within production area.
Project Timeline:
- Completed within a 2-week shutdown.
- In order to achieve completion within a short timeline, B4 Corrosion managed 3 separate crews (Morning, Afternoon and Night shifts) running around the clock.
- The project was completed to customer satisfaction and on time.
